WAVE2: Surfing for Environment, Sustainability and Health in the Atlantic Ocean project is a multilateral youth exchange with 35 youngsters from seven EU Countries (Portugal, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, Estonia and Latvia), that will happen under the KA1 of Erasmus+ program. Thanks to this program, participation in this youth exchange is completely free! Participants get accommodation in Scauts Camp in Sao Jacinto, they have 3 meals per day, activities and journey paid. Also, they are insured during all the ten days of the program.
The project aims to promote the active and healthy lifestyles. During ten days, we are going to practice sports (and surfing of course!), learn about healthy nutrition and wellbeing. Besides this, the project has a strong multicultural component, and participants will have opportunity to meet other young people, learn about their countries and culture.
Every day will be full of sports activities (olympic games, Frisbee, slack line) and interactive workshops on different relevant topics (recycling, reusing, healthy nutrition, consumerism).
This week we are all busy with the preparation of the project. The schedule is done, but we still need Portuguese participants. If you would like to spend ten unforgettable days with us in Sao Jacinto, you can still apply by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. Here is what Radio Terranova says about this project, and here are some photos from last year edition:
