Our brand new project YELLO has started! This September, four youngsters arrived in Aveiro to do their four-month-long EVS project in our organisation. They are Edvardas from Lithuania, Halima from the Netherlands, Marietta from Hungary and Nikola from Serbia.
During the first month, they got familiar with Aveiro, learned a few words in Portuguese, and worked in our office daily. We are grateful for this rich mixture of cultures and backgrounds in Agora Aveiro. It gives us a chance to learn about many different things with them, every day.
Here is how they introduce themselves:
“From the city Utrecht in the Netherlands, 25 years old and with an HR background. I enjoy reading, travelling, fitness and socialising with close friends and family in my free time. I believe that anything is possible if you set your mind to it, in other words: the sky is the limit!” – Halima
“My name is Marietta Balázs. I’m coming from Varsány, Hungary, living in the last 5 years in Budapest. I am 23 years old. I have masters in international relations and I was working as a project manager in Erasmus+ projects. I love travelling, getting to know new stories and new perspectives. I am also busy with visual design, learning it by doing and creating.” – Marietta
“My name is Edvardas Glušokas and I‘m from Lithuania. I‘m 19 years old and before my studies, I took a gap year. I decided to dedicate 4 months on volunteering. I adore travelling and adventures. People say that I‘m too crazy and optimistic.” – Edvardas
“Coming from Pančevo, Serbia, 28 years old, youth leader, cameraman and video editor. Big fan of ska music, board games, Portuguese language, football and other sports… I think that if you believe in your dreams and spread a good vibe, they will become true. That’s how I came here.” – Nikola
Let’s see what we are capable of doing during these 4 months! We already have some nice, big ideas. Stay tuned! See more photos here.
Edvardas, Halima, Marietta and Nikola got to Aveiro thanks to the Erasmus+ programme. Everyone under 30 years old can do similar mobility projects abroad. See more here! If you are interested in it, let us know.
