Agora Aveiro is a non-profit juvenile association, established in 2010, and registered in Registo Nacional do Associativismo Jovem. Its mission is to promote active and participative citizenship through volunteering, acting at a regional, national and European level. Agora Aveiro develops its work through sensibilization actions, interventions, training courses, international exchanges, workshops and contests. The association acts in the following areas: “Sustainable Development”, “Social Inclusion and Sensibilization”, “Urban Intervention” and “Culture, Art and Creativity”.

You can contribute to Agora Aveiro through several ways: Being part of the association as a volunteer member, becoming an affiliate, participating in the activities developed by the association or contributing with a donation. You can also help by spreading the word about what we do.

The projects Agora Aveiro develops are organized by its volunteer members. The recruitment of new members occurs usually once a year, being the announcement made through Agora Aveiro’s social networks. If you are interested in being part of Agora Aveiro you should be alert to the next call and take part in the recruitment event.

Being an Agora Aveiro’s affiliate has no cost for you but allows the association to have more visibility and financial support. You can become an Agora Aveiro affiliate, at any time, by filling in the form.

Every received donation will be used on Agora Aveiro’s mission. Monetary donations should be made through a bank transfer to IBAN PT50 0035 0123 00133731530 56. Send us the proof of payment and the data to appear in the invoice to agora@agoraaveiro.org.

The invoices of monetary donations are deductible under Personal Income Tax (IRS). In order to do that, in your annual IRS declaration you must fill the form field 7 of the Attachment H, code 613 – Social Patronage – donations attributed under social patronage (nº3 of the article 62nd of the Tax Incentives Statute).

We also accept in-kind donations. Contact us through the contact form, Facebook page or email agora@agoraaveiro.org beforehand.

Agora Aveiro, besides local projects, is accredited to send and receive volunteers from the Erasmus+ program. The activities developed in this program will give you the opportunity to travel abroad and have unique volunteering experiences without any expenses for you.

The conditions to participate in the Erasmus+ program vary according to each project. In general you only need to be a resident of the European Union or partner country, as well as being between 18 and 30 years old. However, some activities have no age limit. You don't have to be an Agora Aveiro’s affiliate to participate.
