Supports local commerce
“Green Friday”, created in 2018, is an environmental awareness initiative to restore the Portuguese native forest and to promote local trade, calling for conscious consumption.
Around the “Black Friday”, in collaboration with the city's local businesses, we organise a weekend dedicated to helping the environment. From 25 to 29 November, the value of purchases made at participating establishments is “converted” into native trees that will be planted in Aveiro.
These trees, sown and taken care of by the students of the Rio Novo do Príncipe Schools, in Cacia, will be planted in the Natural Reserve of São Jacinto Dunes, in collaboration with the Aveiro City Hall, helping to recover the local forest.
