On June 7th and 8th, the tireless Guardians of Nature once again proved that protecting the planet can and should be fun, educational, and participative. Their presence at “EcoAventura,” promoted by the Municipality of Aveiro, was once again a true celebration of the environment, with activities that stimulated the senses, sparked curiosity, and left a green mark in the hearts of all participants.

EcoAventura” is one of the region’s most emblematic events, dedicated to environmental education and sustainability. This year, the Guardians of Nature space was once again one of the highlights, offering a wide range of interactive experiences for children and families who visited.

Amid seeds and smiles, the “Seed Bombs” activity invited the little ones to get their hands dirty! By combining clay, soil, and seeds, participants created small “seed bombs” that, when thrown into nature, will help grow native flowers, promoting biodiversity and respect for the cycle of life.

Another standout moment was “Trophic Relationships,” where young explorers were able to playfully discover how food chains are organized and how living beings depend on each other. It was a true journey through ecosystems, where predators, prey, producers, and consumers came to life through enthusiastic games and activities.

Raising awareness about local wildlife was the focus of the activity “The Fascinating World of Birds,” which captivated participants with silhouettes, illustrations, sounds, and curious facts about the birds that inhabit the Aveiro Lagoon and beyond. Through this game, participants trained their knowledge and observation skills in an experience that sharpened their vision and affection for Portuguese birdlife.

The participation of the Guardians of Nature in “EcoAventura” once again reinforced our association’s commitment to environmental education and building a more conscious future. Each activity was designed to sow ideas, awaken emotions, and cultivate attitudes that contribute to a more balanced world in harmony with nature. Because when creativity, science, and love for nature come together, the result can only be transformative. And the Guardians of Nature are here to remind us, every day, that a better planet begins with small actions... and big hearts.

Guardians of Nature” is part of the “Greener Aveiro” project by Agora Aveiro. It counts on the support of the  Centro Infantil de Arte e Qualidade, João Afonso de Aveiro Primary School, and João Silva Correia School Group as partners. It is supported by the Municipality of Aveiro and IPDJ – Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth I.P.
