After a Year Off, “Are You Brain Enough?” is Back and Better Than Ever! From November 7th to December 5th, five Thursdays were packed with brain-teasing questions that sparked friendly rivalries and made everyone’s week a bit more competitive. This year, "Are You Brain Enough?" once again stood out for its original questions, creative game mechanics, and ingenious hints. The event celebrated knowledge-sharing in a fun and dynamic way, while keeping the competitive spirit alive and fostering camaraderie among teams.

The spotlight belonged to the “Samalandras,” who claimed 1st place with 50 points, closely followed by “(H)elder’s Brain” in 2nd with 49 points, and “S2MG”, rounding out the podium in 3rd place with 40 points.

The sixth edition of this beloved project took place at Cervejaria Maldita, with five sessions hosting eight teams and around 32 participants each night. The vibe was electric, thanks to a dynamic presenter duo, rounds of applause, quirky prizes like a codfish or a basket of fresh vegetables, music, and the inevitable “Ohhhh!” moments when tricky answers were revealed.

Every question came with a hint, crafted with the trademark brilliance of our Quiz Masters! We blended sounds, images, words, numbers, and riddles to push neurons into overdrive. Even if you knew nothing about the round’s theme, there was no need to panic - thinking “outside the box” was the key.

This year, we kept the crowd-favorite dynamics from past editions while adding a few surprises. Sessions featured rounds of “open answers,” “multiple choice,” the daring “poker round,” and the infamous “sudden death.” The Poker Round continued to tempt the bold, allowing teams to gain, lose, or even steal points from rivals. Sudden Death, as always, tested teams’ attention with Easter Egg-filled questions, including subtle details like accessories worn by the presenters in specific rounds.

The prizes this year were, as always, a delightful mix of practical, fun, and delicious surprises, with a focus on supporting local Aveiro businesses. Each session’s winning team took home a box of Ovos Moles, courtesy of Doce Moliceiro, plus a €2 discount per member on their bill at Cervejaria Maldita - because what better way to celebrate victory than with beers on the house?

And who could forget the famous random prizes? Who wouldn’t want to be surprised with a Pão-de-Ló de Ovar from Guida Pão-de-Ló de Ovar, chocolates from Feitoria do Cacao, a basket brimming with fresh produce from Banca Terra, or even several kilos of specialty coffee from Bastardo Coffee Roasters?

But at "Are You Brain Enough?" the prizes go beyond trophies and goodies - they’re about unforgettable nights and memories to cherish. We hope the participants had as much fun as we did during these five amazing weeks. Now, our Quiz Masters are heading for a well-deserved break (and oh, do they deserve it!).
